We are Legacy Dance Independent, founded in 2020 by Kiernan Wagstaffe.
We are based in Winchester.
Legacy Dance Independent are a dynamic performance collective and a competition team. It provides vital training, stage experience, and career-boosting opportunities for emerging artists and young performers aged 18 - 26.
Our Mission: We bridge the gap for young performers leaving education. We offer a space to keep performing, growing, and building professional credits.
A Place to Belong: Legacy is more than a team. It is a creative family where artists collaborate and find their unique voice.
Multi-Disciplinary: We train and perform across contemporary, commercial, jazz, lyrical, heels, musical theatre, street, tap, and acrobatics. Plus, we incorporate vocal and live acting performance.

What We Do:
National & International Stage: Our company competes at high levels across the UK and globally, proudly representing Team England at the Dance World Cup in 2024, 2025, & 2026.
Live Productions: Beyond competitions, we produce independent theatre showcases like Legacy LIVE. This gives our artists original platforms to be seen by industry professionals.
Community & Growth: We focus on resilience, storytelling, and mutual support. We turn rehearsal room hard work into breath-taking stage moments.
